Which websites do you visit that are out of date? How far you want to go? If it's a quick Europe trip, I recommend you try skyscanner.net for the flights and lateroom.com for the hotel.

If it's for a long intercontinental one, trailfinders have always been really good with us.

going into skyscanner.net and writing from London to everywhere and the month in which I want to travel, and see where I can go for less money. You can use a different from airport, if London is not good for you.

I find it really cool
to just say "Yes, I have a few days left, where can I go for almost nothing?" Doing that I've been in Oslo, Prague, Berlin, Granada... lots of places always for less than £30 return flight.

Never let the opportunity to visit a place with someone who lives there go past you! Barcelona is just fantastic, I'm sure you'll love both places. You can go by fast train Barcelona-Madrid, Madrid-Seville in almost no time too, and if you book the tickets in advance, they're really cheap. Send me a gaz if you need help with the bookings!
