I'm looking for car insurance, IS'NT THAT EXCITING! ranging from £320 to over a grand, damn you 3 points on my license.

Tell me about any criminal convictions you've had or nearly had.

Alt: I will be drinking Rose (accent) wine in the sun soon on the river, what is your sunshine tipple of choice this evening.

Criminal convictions are not cool kids
Even with no points I'm still 1300 insurance :(

mine is £2,160 a year
even though i am (i) a girl (ii) over 25 (iii) never ever had a claim [touch wood] and (iv) the car is worth less money this year than last. how can the premium still have gone up??

why is yours so much, what criminal conviction, drink-driving??

It's obviously your postcode hahahaha
I'm insured in Manchester and it's a cdi350 which doesn't help matters. What size engine is yours?
Edit - I DO HAVE SPENT OR UNSPENT CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS THANK YOU VERY MUCH

true
it was much cheaper when it was "in a locked garage in cheshire" rather than "on the road in kensington".

it's 3 litres.
(, Tue 19 Apr 2011, 17:18, Reply)
You do not need 3 litres on an slk
And yes I am indeed "in a locked garage in cheshire" as far as the insurers are concerned

3 points speeding
and a further 3 for being on my phone whilst a policeman drove past.
(, Tue 19 Apr 2011, 17:15, Reply)
Why did you get the points if the copper was driving?
Or were you driving as well, rather than sitting on your sofa ordering a pizza and gazing out of the window whilst the police cruised past.
(, Tue 19 Apr 2011, 17:26, Reply)

3 points
for a bald tyre (many years ago), and 4 points for speeding (I went to court to argue the toss as I was taking someone to hospital at the time and as such didn't consider 48mph on a 40mph road on a clear, dry day excessive), so they gave me an extra point and an extra 90 quid fine for my trouble.
Other than that, just a caution for 'breach of the peace' when I was about 21 as one of my passengers held an imitation Bereta 45 to my head and said "Drive us to Dover" (which is, incidently, where I was already going).
This was spotted by an elderly lady on the roadside, who dutifully called the police, resulting in all of us in the car, a few miles on, being face down in the road with rifles aimed at our heads.
