But if the banks are closed, you can't do any banking. Therefore, everyone benefits.
(They are just national holidays, you guys get lots of them as it is I understand)

Do you have to work over your national holidays?
That sucks if you do. I hope you get the time back to take off when you want.
We get about 8 bank holidays per year, in addition to paid annual leave (usually between 22 and 30 days per year)

Almost everyone.
It's likely like you'll get sunday off if you're meant to work, but you don't get
extra days because Jesus became a zombie.
What sort of workshy peoples are you lot anyway?

Top five countries for annual leave
France: five weeks plus two weeks of reduced working hours
Denmark: six weeks
Finland: 35 days
Germany: four weeks plus bank holidays
Austria: 35 days
Bottom five countries for annual leave
China: no leave legally required
USA: no leave legally required
Hong Kong: seven days
Singapore: seven days
Taiwan: seven days
