The forrin' lady on the counter is sweet on me and gives me extra pastry.

I was amused/amazed/appalled to see (on Stephen Fry in America)
the practise of deep-frying whole turkeys in the South. I did not know this went on.

Nuthin' laark a good 'ol Turkey frying follow by a lynchin'
gohud ol' famly furn
(, Tue 3 May 2011, 14:01, Reply)
it's actually a new thing
apparently burning your house down by using the oven isn't cool enough, now you can do it with a deep fryer

i could be wrong but i've heard it cooks faster and keeps it juicy, that being said it could just be the oil from the fryer, but you know us southerners ain't too smart

I bet they're tastier than roasted ones.

(, Tue 3 May 2011, 14:12, Reply)
maybe
can't be as good and/or toxic as a butterball though
