I don't really want to call him out on it yet.
He was beyond skint when I gave him the moolahs, but now his loan has come in I'd have expected him to pay me back within a reasonable amount of time. I reckon he thinks/hopes I've forgotten about it. As if. I'll get him in due time.

A reasonable amount of time = as soon as his loan came in

Agree
How can anyone spend money when they own money to someone else? I'd be so embarassed! I own some money to Mark and can't think of buying any treats to myself until I pay him back.

The guy is obviously a chump and a fraud

And therefore
Barry shouldn't feel bad for telling him off on The Internet.

This is true.
If he didn't tell the world he was splashing cash for fun I wouldn't be as arsed. I'm gonna ask him in private for it and if he says no I'll shout to the world that he owes me money/start taking his fingers.

I think that's the right thing to do
Good luck with it.

My other plan is to wait until he's skint again and then ask for it.
Just so I can go mental when he says he hasn't got any money. Chances of ever receiving it in that scenario are far less though.
