The Foo Fighters have the same problem - there's nothing particularly wrong with the music, it's not overtly shit, I just can't be bothered to listen to it.

Hell, it's been working for Green Day since about '89. Look what happened when they tried to do something "different" - Warning was, I thought, a brave effort, but it absolutely bombed. Then they went back to the same old formula and - whaddya know? - success again...
