my brother has married a ginger
and procreated with her. So far my niece doesn't appear to be ginger, but she could be a sly one.

Grandma turns to her daughter in law (my mother) and says "I'm dreadfully sorry, but I think you might have had a ginger child."

I was more blonde than anything
and have slowly darkened. Now I'm just dark brown.

I was properly blonde until I cut my long hair off about 10 years ago
it's been nondescript brown since then and is getting blonder again now as it gets longer.
