But yes, we ought to be very dead.

I think the fact that we're not - well, I'm not, I can't speak for anyone else - is down to the terrible decline in christian values in our society.

If we were all fervent believers we'd surely be dead beyond hope of recovery. Because we're not we are alive and therefore abominations in the eyes of the lord or something.
