Evening All.
What have you done today?

I've slept off a huge amount of ale and watched motor racing.

I'm going to make some burgers now.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:21, 84 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Been shopping,
been to the bottle bank, done some washing, hung it out, tackled a huge pile of ironing, and some dishes.

Rock and fucking roll, me.

I'm now on my second can of Bass and will be hitting the wine shortly afterwards.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:28, Reply)
I got round to watching Doctor Who earlier.
It was a bit obvious wasn't it.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:31, Reply)
It only occurred to me afterwards
that there was a massive fuck off clue somewhere near the beginning. I won't elaborate, in case there's anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

But yes, it was entirely predictable.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:46, Reply)
I saw that straight away
and went YES! I KNEW IT! but no one was there to appreciate my genius
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:09, Reply)
I have to admit I completely missed it
I think they deliberately kept the two halves of the clue quite far apart so people wouldn't connect the two. But I did get the 'thing' anyway. I'd be very fucking surprised if anybody didn't, to be honest.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:16, Reply)
The thing about the names
I spotted that last season.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:39, Reply)
I didn't think so at the time
but then again, my brain is currently being occupied in other matters quite a bit.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:52, Reply)
I know, right?
You'll never get spare parts for your dalek now they're being retired.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:58, Reply)
Only temporarily, it seems.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:08, Reply)
*Goes into Dalek voice*
YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT!
YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT!
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:10, Reply)
I can wait.
I reckon they'll be back soonish, maybe not next year, but probably the year after.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:10, Reply)
How are you getting on with your rollies DG?

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:19, Reply)
Not bad, saving a fortune.
I still buy a pack of menthols for through the week at work though.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:46, Reply)
Although the boy's phone bill was £81 again this month.
Despite us telling him not to use calls until his new contract kicked in, the little shit.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:47, Reply)
sounds like he's being a real trouble this month :(

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:48, Reply)
You have no idea.
He's spent more on his phone in 3 months than I spend in a year. He just doesn't get it at all.

We've upped his contract to 900 minutes calls (it was only 100) and if he goes over that this month, the fucker's coming off him.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:53, Reply)
£81 in a month is outrageous
that's three months for me and I have a fairly expensive contract. Are you considering just taking the phone off him if he can't be bothered to regulate himself?

edit: oops saw your last bit, thought you just meant you'd charge him
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:58, Reply)
£81!!!
Is he making international calls!
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:59, Reply)
It was £84 last month
and £45 the month before. No more pocket money until the debt is paid.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 20:27, Reply)
Jesus christ.
I've used my phone overseas for a fortnight and not come close to that sort of mobile spend.

Sounds like it might be time for him to give up his Saturdays and to get a job.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 20:29, Reply)
I told you get the Menthol filters.
Have you had no joy getting any?
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:47, Reply)
I haven't looked tbh.
Buying a pack for the week is just because I can't be arsed with carrying the paraphanelia around with me.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:51, Reply)
I'm not saying it was a bad storyline.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:59, Reply)
I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the series in the Autumn.
Plus, it will feel like 1975 again, watching it on the dark nights.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:09, Reply)
I wonder if they could arrange some power cuts for you, just to keep things authentic.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:10, Reply)
We had one last week during the high winds.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:11, Reply)
I just read back through that hilarious thread from a few weeks back where we discussed our pet hates.
Nothing quite like a bitch fest for bringing us together.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:40, Reply)
Boot sale, breakfast with brother in law and his missus, nap, ebay, resistingthe urge to call my husband a useless spastic, shower, computing.
I think that about sums it up.

Everyone else keeping well?
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 18:45, Reply)
I've got face-ache.
And sore eyes. Really really sore eyes.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:00, Reply)
Why have you got face-ache, Jeff?
spunk in the eye again?
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:05, Reply)
Hayfever which was quite bad yesterday resulting in very sore eyes today.
Face is aching from excessive sneezing, nose blowing and coughing.

But for the sake of the conversation. Yes. A bucket load of jizz managed to find its way into my eyes.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:08, Reply)

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:08, Reply)
I have never seen Wall E
so I cannot understand your comment.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:12, Reply)
there are some bloaty listless people
who float around apathetically in floaty chairs
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:14, Reply)
That now makes sense.
I feel like that quite a lot.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:17, Reply)
Wall-E is my favourite digital animation
however today I watched Tangled and it's absolutely fucking brilliant, close to toppling Wall-E from the top of my list.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:39, Reply)
have you watched The Iron Giant?
't is very good indeed.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:46, Reply)
I haven't seen it for years, not since it became my baby brother's film du jour and I was forced to watch part of it at least once a day for many months.
Tangled is superb though, a real return to form for Disney, and no talking animals!
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:51, Reply)
had a super sunday liver livener after the best wedding ever.
Now doing some more revision for tomorrow.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:48, Reply)
I fear the lack of 'Party Ring' mentioning in your post suggests you let yourself down as a host.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:40, Reply)
Are you talking in rhyme today?

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:42, Reply)
Watch me wreck the mic.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:38, Reply)
I've done nothing
ate food, listened to a priest talk about his wish to go wing-walking, had tea.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:40, Reply)
Did the priest want to get closer to God?

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:41, Reply)
it tied into his sermon
about how Jesus probably didn't wing-walk from the top of the Mount
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:45, Reply)
I think it's in one of the Gnostic Gospels

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:48, Reply)

Closer to God FTW.

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:45, Reply)
Alright, caught up on a shitload of sleep this weekend, I think I've had about an extra eight hours in naps
which was desperately needed. Another early night tonight I reckon. I also might just have a new part-time job as an alpaca handler.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 19:50, Reply)
You can handle my alpaca any time love. *does dirty laugh*

(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 20:22, Reply)
Have a look at the Scarlet Mist website for the Sonisphere ticket.
It's an ethical ticket exchange. Both sides make a small charitable donation and the ticket price is agreed between the seller/purchaser.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 20:26, Reply)
None available.
Keep checking though.
(, Sun 5 Jun 2011, 20:30, Reply)
