Can you not eat rare steaks when up the duff?
Another reason kids suck, ruining meat

No undercooked meat or eggs, no soft cheese or booze
no shell fish or undercooked fish etc etc etc

Pregnant people are cheap dates

Cooked shell fish is ok
but not too much. Same for big fishes, you can't have much of it.

And you're right, I'm saving a lot of money lately as we haven't been to a restaurant in ages!

It's so cruel
No, you can't eat any meat that hasn't been properly cooked. Not even chorizo! The first thing I'm going to eat when the baby is here is a lot of steak tartar!!

....isn't steak tartar just..raw steak?

(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 9:54, Reply)
Yes
with a raw egg on it sometimes. I love it.

don't be absurd
it's not just raw steak, it's really nice steak, with shallots and capers and seasoning and stuff.

Delicious
Isn't it?

Where can you have a good one around London?
Do you know? I might have to go in a hurry straight after hospital.
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 10:05, Reply)
I have no idea
I only know two restaurants in London, one Thai and one Turkish
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 10:09, Reply)
Well
That doesn't help. I'll have to find out.
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 10:16, Reply)
I apologise for living 180 miles from London

It's ok, not your fault
I have decided I'm going to make a little google map with good/cheap restaurants to eat in London, after Sunday, when we paid £44 for 2 really bad soups (made from powder and not well) and really not nice burguer and chicken breast in a steak house near Piccadilly.

good thinking

(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 10:24, Reply)
Bah
You know nothing. A good steak tartar, as they do it in some parts of Belgium, is the food of gods.

hand me a bucket, I'm gonna hurl.
