It's not Notts Forest.

Come on the Irons. There are 14 ex-Premier League teams in that division now I think.

are called Nottingham Forest. Not Nottinghamshire Forest. It's like calling your lot SuburbofNewcastleborough

Though they bizarrely want to be known as the Boro. Go figure

Boro is nowhere near The Toon. Miles apart - it's like saying Edinburgh is a suburb of Glasgow.
Boro got to a European final more recently than your lot, were in the Premiership more recently than your lot and have a better stadium than your lot. We're not dining out on ancient history presided over by an alcoholic ego maniac.
The defence rests.

I think you may have undermined your "not dining out on ancient history" point somewhat, and if your stadium was size-appropiate for attendance ours would be twice as big. Lastly, if the greatest English manager in the history of football rocked up at the Riverside and promised you glories beyond imagining with the caveat that he had alcohol abuse and self-aggrandisement issues, you'd rip his arm off.
This is where Rory tells us how much better his team are than either of ours

Of course Clough did *play* for Boro, and was born and raised in the town.
He also worked at the same ICI site that my dad did I have just discovered, through the wonders of Wiki. Funnily enough, my dad was a smart arse who knew it all as well.

If Geoffrey Boycott worked on the same site then we should assume it has mystical properties
(, Wed 8 Jun 2011, 15:40, Reply)
I have no idea how that worked.

And discussed how they were better than everyone else in the world.
As a Forest fan and the son of a Yorkshireman, it must be said that they were correct in this assessment.
