Sorry, I can't not be a pedant
How can you be an Ambassador TO the UK and TO some friendly foreign power?
What have Nirvana got to do with Garage? I don't remember Craig David guesting for any of their chart-topping hits?
And lastly, you'll never be a legendary singer-songwriter with that attitude.

In his defence, it reads 'being an Ambassador FOR the UK to some friendly foreign power'
Unless he's ninja'd it.

He's ninja'd it
My Uncle's a British consul, want me to put in a good word?
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:54, Reply)
Nope
I can assure you I am fine, It's not really my "realistic dream" job, It's just that if I'd blurted out what was I could have had some serious hate come my way.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:57, Reply)
nonce isn't really a job

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:57, Reply)
Even worse
"Member of the European Parliament"
All the pay and power of an MP, with none of the scrutiny.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:58, Reply)
how mind-bogglingly dull

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:59, Reply)

70k a year plus perks and expenses, etc etc.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:00, Reply)
For little to no work.

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:01, Reply)
Plus with you in power Europe would be sorted out in like a week

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:01, Reply)
I wouldn't get out of bed for 70K

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:02, Reply)
Yes but how much would you get in bed for?

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:04, Reply)
Sorted... how?

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:02, Reply)
Oh, you know
All the arguments and stuff
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:04, Reply)
money isn't everything
I get paid well and yet it still doesn't make the work worthwhile.

Don't make the mistake that loads of people make and think that with enough money you won't mind what the actual work entails. You'd be much better off finding out what the job actually means day to day and making your decision based on that.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:07, Reply)
Well I for one
Quite enjoyed my work experience as a primary school teacher.
No nonce jokes plz.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:08, Reply)
I went back to my old primary school, it was the last one my Mum taught in before she died
It was very surreal seeing the same corridors 7 years later, they're tiny!

Plus, the teacher who was in charge of the work experience had taught me as a child, and she was still a complete bitch, a fact I made clear to her.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:10, Reply)
you being a nonce is nothing to joke about.
I cannot overstate how important it is to find something you enjoy.

on paper, my job should be great. It's something I'm interested in and good at, but day to day it's basically long periods of boredom interspersed with short bursts of stress and panic.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:12, Reply)
I've got you covered down there

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:58, Reply)
Man, have you not heard Lisa Maffia's version of "Pennyroyal Tea?"
Awesome. But I think he thinks he means "Garage Rock" but since Nirvana have about as much to do with Garage rock as I do to competition needlework, he's talking shit. Again.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:54, Reply)
I assumed as much
On both counts. Maybe Kurt Cobain actually wrote a load of shit songs for So Solid Crew as well as Hole
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:56, Reply)
It does say Grunge OR Garage boys!

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 9:58, Reply)
Where would be without pednatry, though?
I'll tell you where. France, that's where.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:00, Reply)
FUCK OFF!
France, we're not complete cunts!
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:01, Reply)
Are you calling Nicolas Anelka a complete cunt?
Are you?
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:02, Reply)
That would do a massive disservice to complete cunts.

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:03, Reply)
Funny how quickly I was able to think of a French cunt

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:05, Reply)
You don't have to be the sharpest tool in the box.
Just asked this q to a guy I work with and he said Jean Luc Picard, "You know, off Star Trek". ffs
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:09, Reply)
Must have been the accent that made him think of the Captain

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:16, Reply)
I don't understand that.
At no point in the series does he make it so that anyone could mistake him for being french.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:24, Reply)
*Rainier Wolfcastle*

(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:02, Reply)

For a moment I thought you meant our Al. I was literally booking my train ticket to Macc and loading my shotgun.
(, Thu 16 Jun 2011, 10:04, Reply)
