Buy it from a pharmacist instead.
They removed the good ingredient (pseudo-ephedrine) from Lemsip on general sale, out of fear that it could be synthesised into an amphetamine-like substance, and replaced it with the far less effective phenylephrine.
Pharmacy-strength Lemsip, only available from pharmacies, still contains pseudo-ephedrine, which not only works better but also makes you feel pretty good too.

I think it is branded as Pharmacy-Strength Lemsip.
Just make sure that pseudoephedrine is listed in the active ingredients and try not to look like you are buying it to manufacture illegal drugs.
