What sort of content are you going to deliver?
*hopes it is what happens if you take the Jimmy Corkhill path and turns into a 'Just Say No' campaign for scallies*
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:36, Reply)
Welcome to the library yo

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:45, Reply)
You should whisper your presentation.
That'll teach 'em good.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:48, Reply)
Or if anyone talks
bellow "SHUT THE FUCK UP. THIS IS A FUCKING LIBRARY!"
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:53, Reply)
That would also work.

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 23:04, Reply)

Gone, but not forgotten.

Hell no!
I'm dead professional me.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:29, Reply)
sneaky puns are the way forwards
my thesis had some in
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:31, Reply)
I'm far too professional for that sort of malarky Captain.
May try and sneak in a pun if it's appropriate
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:32, Reply)
Sadly not.
But if I'm unsuccessful with the pitch I need to do, I might take that approach in the future.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:28, Reply)
How long you have to present for?

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:41, Reply)
Until I (think) I've covered everything off.
I'm pitching for some work, I've got the spec of the job, so it'll just be a bit about me, a bit of strategy planning for the job and moving towards a resolution.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:43, Reply)
Ash
Well good luck with it
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:44, Reply)

I was just later saying it
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:52, Reply)
Thanks.
This isn't a very big deal by the way. I often pitch for work. I've got work on at the moment, but I've got the capacity to do more, so I'm trying to get some more stuff booked in.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:54, Reply)
OK, well then
I wish slightly less luck on you since you don't need it
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:55, Reply)
I could still do with some luck.

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:57, Reply)
It isn't a huge contract
But as far as I know, the company I'm meeting with rarely/never use contractors, so I'm not expecting too much.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:45, Reply)
What's the industry?

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:46, Reply)
tomorrow is a small bespoke software company
who provide solutions to financial services.

So I need to put on both my Dev hat and my FS hat.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:48, Reply)
I have no idea what you are talking about re hats but I'm sure you look very nice wearing them.

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:51, Reply)

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:53, Reply)

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:53, Reply)

If you can do a bit of software, that would be a bonus.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:54, Reply)
I'm a Analyst/Consultant
So I get to speak to both developers (who don't like speaking to 'business people') and to 'business people' (who'd rather cancel a project than have to speak to a developer).

I'll chat with anyone me.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:56, Reply)
We know : )

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:58, Reply)
That sounds rather high powered
I'll have to tug my forelock before speaking in future.

*realises forelock went 15 years ago*
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 23:00, Reply)
High powered?
It's bollocks. It's a complete 'nothing' role. You just chair meetings, get people talking to one another and hope that those who understand what CAN be done speak up if what needs to be done can't be achieved.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 23:02, Reply)
Oh, ok then.
That sounds like most of the meetings I go to.

Anyway. G'night Proffessor Dogfucker, and the rest of you internet heros.
(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 23:07, Reply)
it's all about the coin son.

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 23:13, Reply)
Whatever the hat, hope it works out

(, Thu 23 Jun 2011, 22:53, Reply)
If I've got the availability to take it on great.
If not, never mind.
