question, do you think cheerleaders are pressured into it? like some form of sporting mafia?
and not because they enjoy it?
ya know, since it's 2011, it's impossible for people to continue to do things they enjoy, and it's simply because we're all programmed to think that boys play football and girls are cheerleaders.

Yes.
Cheerleaders are pressured into it by the sporting mafia.

I'm not saying individuals shouldn't do it
or that they are forced into doing it. I just think the popularity of the respective sports (football and cheerleading) amongst specific genders is a somewhat suspect tradition and a bit weird.

Of course I only really know anything about these things because my friend went through a phase of only watching cheerleader films

Fired Up is about these guys that go to cheer camp to basically sleep with the girls
and so while they're there the camp has movie night, and they're watching Bring it On
and all of the cheerleaders are reciting the lines, completely into the movie, it's hilarious

/not all that funny after reading this

My university squad is mixed.
So that would rule out 'females cheerleading at male sporting events and boy cheerleaders performing at female sporting events'.
They do their thing wherever. It looks like a sport in itself really, like extreme gymnastics. I've made myself lol now!

Yeah so did I.
