Is ASDA really doing a celebrate Independence Day thing?
I'm a merkin and it was on my homepage's headline...
Also, I read they have RC Cola, you poor fuckers.

Since they're owned by Wal Mart
It wouldn't surprise me.

yeah, that makes it even worse. Wal Mart is pure evil

I don't keep up on all the hot supermarket gossip, I'm afraid.
And as I'm a terrible snob, I shop at Waitrose and Sainsbury's.

And do my bulk shopping at Aldi.

/Now unemployed lols.

Sainsburys for me
Nothing at all to do with the fact that it is right at the end of my street and I'm a lazy cunt
(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:23, Reply)
I actually went in Sainsburys this morning
my new building has a Sainsburys Local as one of the shops in the ground floor development and I realised I was out of milk when I went to the fridge. Threw on some sweatpants and a t-shirt and some trainers, nipped down in the lift, out the door, 20 yards along, in and grab some milk and pay.

Tea was still hot by the time I got back up. Now that's convenient.

There's a gigantic Asda directly on my way home from work, though, where I suspect I will end up going for regular shopping.

They have built one over the road from work

I don't even know where my nearest Aldi is.
Aldershot, probably.

Mine is next to a pub called the Powder Monkey
which is a good pub name.
(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:25, Reply)
Strange name for an inland pub

(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:27, Reply)
Indeed - its about 6 miles from the sea

(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:28, Reply)
I didn't realise you were that close to the coast.
Now I know that, the pub's name is a lot more understandable. You may carry on about your business.
(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:29, Reply)
Right there!
Here be monkeys

Sounds like a great pub Sporty...
"An enjoyable night ruined by the threatening and abusive response by the manager to a reasonable complaint about the quality of a drink. I didnt deserve to get barred for it, but it saves me the effort of never going back."

I didn't say it was a nice pub!
Here is my local

I'd like to continue this discussion
but I need to go and pick the missus up. But don't dis it until you've tried it. A lot of their stuff is far superior to any equivalent from the main chains.

Laters.
(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:26, Reply)
I just go to wherever's nearest, in fairness.

(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:26, Reply)
Aldi is superb
Alright DG? Any news on the redundancy wait?
(, Mon 4 Jul 2011, 14:25, Reply)
End of July, at the latest apparently.
I have to dash out now.

The Nearest LIDL is awesome.
Heads up to whoever recommended Mr Choc Peanuts as being better and cheaper than MnM's, thank you.
And Yes, the ASDA near me are, they are selling US delicacies, etc.
