it's knowing what it might do to me, am I wrong to think others are the same? I suppose easier availability might get a few more users, but people actually knowing what they were taking would have to mean a few less deaths...

I mean, there's a reason people are addicted, right: it must feel fucking awesome. But I just don't trust myself to try it, knowing what it can do.

Yeah', exactly, every drug has a possitive effect, it's just weather that negates the negitives.
If you could take it, and then later on take something that'll instantlly get rid of any phsyical or phsycological addiction.... then I'd love to try it.

I don't want to take ecstasy because you feel worse the next day. I rarely get hangovers so I drink way more than I should and should really cut back but its enjoyable so I do it.

Oh yes, deffo, but there are 100,000's of people who take it, and there must be a reason why they took it in the first place.
This kind of drug-dealer as I mentioned above would be able to limit down the amount of drug taken to help people get off it, or people who insist on having it to have it safely within the realms of limitation. Nobody, I think, takes it for the first time in their right mind, most people who I know who have taken it claim they were drugged or douped into taking it on their first go. So if you had never taken the stuff and did went to this kind of dealer, they could say "Why are you taking it? OK, you want effects ABC.... try this instead".

Our experiences differ.
The people I know who've done drugs have chosen to do them for pleasure, and the two I've ever tried (weed & speed) I did out of curiosity, one I liked, one I didn't and never did again.

Tobacco is the only thing I started on by accident, I got hooked from smoking it in joints and it took a very long time to get clear of the addiction, if indeed I have.

Oh, and if we're including legal drugs, alcohol was choice and non addictive, I'd less soon give up chocolate or cheese.
