The thing that right-on dullards fail to address is how racial stereotypes spread if there's no basis for them at all.
Germans ARE frequently humourless etc. For fuck's sake I haven't the time or the inclination to get to know the entire world's population personally, so of course I will generalise. Anyone who claims not to do the same is fucking lying.

You mean national stereotypes

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:05, Reply)
Technically there is only one race of humans so yes, I suppose I do.

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:13, Reply)
Agreed
I know very few Australians and it's a long fucking way away so obviously I will riff on their perceived lack of culture, although the failure of an entire continent to thus far produce a truly classic film is a pretty poor show.

wrong
Bad Boy Bubby is a fantastic film
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:13, Reply)
This with fucking bells on it. It's one of the best I've ever seen.

Cat in cling film
Demented film, but brilliant.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:18, Reply)
Haven't seen it
But I shall seek it out. Various people have told me that The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Mad Max are fantastic films, so I remain skeptical for now. Because they were wrong.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:17, Reply)
yeah didn't get Priscilla either
some fine actors but it looked like it was made with shit and sellotape.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:22, Reply)
Agreed on both counts
I've no problem with low-budget films - Night of the Living Dead was very obviously made for ten pence - but a working plot and sense of purpose would be nice
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:24, Reply)
Well I thought Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was great
and a definite classic so there

Oh and Mad Max is definitely also a classic

I used to love those books
and the other ones, that were written by that spoddy 9 year old.

The Garden Gang.
I had those. My Uncle Ray said "Merve Marrow" funny because of his loads of big teeth.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:34, Reply)
I was majorly confused by the chives
because we were common, and I dodn't know what chives were. Or how to pronounce the word.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:37, Reply)
Did you ask the nearest French person
"kess keh say 'sheev'?"
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:39, Reply)
I pronounced it 'chivvy'

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 15:40, Reply)
Like 'chavvy'!
