Woo! a tour of an online bookshop warehouse!
I'm thrilled for you.

(Seriously though, that sounds fantastic, tell me more about it. I'm excited no your behalf).

someone already made that joke :)
It's an educational environmental kind-of thing. I'm just on the list as yet, but hopefully they will contact me at some point then BAM! I'm signing up! I'm scared of snakes, but I'm not going to let that stop me

Good for you.
Apologies for the obvious joke

How will you be navigating the Amazon?
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:46, Reply)
I don't know any more about it
it's a regular thing - they take a bunch of people out there to learn about the place and about environmental things so we all come back and rant to everyone else about saving the planet
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:50, Reply)
if I'm honest it's at a pretty damn preliminary stage
I'm just over excited and getting ahead of myself
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:51, Reply)
Err....
Can't you just read about it online, and then tell people about it, rather than FLYING half-way round the world and creating a massive carbon foot-print.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:51, Reply)
that was one of the arguments against it
but experiencing things and watching things are different
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:52, Reply)
I'm just joking with you.
If you get the chance to go, you should take it.

You might even be able to invent a larping game to play when you're over there.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:54, Reply)
I'll get the local tribes to join in!

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:58, Reply)
You could set them against each other.
It would be real-life larping as they start lobbing spears at each other.
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:00, Reply)
spears with foam tips, though

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:06, Reply)
I'm scared of everything but it doesn't stop me leaving the house each day.

One word:
Anacondas.

Also, candiru fish.
They swim up your urine stream and lodge themselves in your bits. Niiiiiiiice.

She's been nothing since she stoppped working with Alistair McGowan.

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:49, Reply)
McGowan is possibly one of the worst impressionists ever.
He always sounds like Alistair McGowan doing an impression of someone else, which is never a good start.

Not as bad as that radio ventriloquist in the 20's who, on the advent of television, was rapidly discovered to be an utter fraud and subsequently had his career destroyed in seconds.

hahahaha

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:54, Reply)
It's true.
I wish I could remember his name, but I saw a clip of him a while back and he made no attempt at all to stop his lips moving. All I could think was "Live radio audiences must have been really fucking thick".
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:58, Reply)
She is fit

(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:09, Reply)

it's yellow, damn it!
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 19:57, Reply)
yellow?
oh
(, Mon 11 Jul 2011, 20:01, Reply)
blonde implies I'm dumb
it's been a long-running meme (IRL) that I don't admit to being blonde
