We are in the middle of a triangle formed by the dry and hot Med, the wet and cold Scandinavia and the wet and warm Gulf Stream. This causes unsettled temperatures at best. We are in a cool period, which is causing cooler, wetter weather and thereby prompting deciduous trees to prepare for autumn slightly earlier than usual.

We are not outside the seasonal averages.
