Torrenting movies is where it's at
i only own 3 DVDs, two of which were free!
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:06, Reply)
I don't torrent films, I rent them and rip them
This, to my twisted sense of morality, is a decent compromise.
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:07, Reply)
I like it actually
but my local independent DVD rental shop just closed which was really sad as the cahp that ran it was great. i refuse to go to blockbuster and all others near me are epically shit

I use a mixture of Blockbuster for the 5 for £5 for a week deal
and Lovefilm.

i like chatting to 'Gary' though he was great at recommending both old and new
it was small touch of humanity in my desolate and empty life
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:12, Reply)
Yeah, I don't want any of that humanity in mine.
They're mostly awful.
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:13, Reply)
This is true and the rest are ghastly

I always knew you were the sort of person who would buy a tv with a built in DVD player

(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:06, Reply)
I have one
I got it from Tesco.
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:07, Reply)
I hear that's where you buy all your best clothes

(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:07, Reply)
Only my suits.

(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:14, Reply)
Tesco budget electronic fives

(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:08, Reply)
Me too, it loaded from the side and is the exact size of the cupboard it was kept in at my 'rents bedroom (I have it now).
Think about the logic of that.
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 18:55, Reply)
Actually my Dad bought it for us 7 years ago from Tesco for £100
as a bit of falt warming pressie whenwe moved to London, still works like a charm, has a 100% flat screen and the tv programs never look like "Days of Our Lives" due to over sharpness

:p
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:08, Reply)
is it a samsung?
the picture on my old CRT properly flat screen tv was excellent
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:08, Reply)
Not sure actually, apart from the size it is perfect
even then it sits quietly in teh corner
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:10, Reply)
Absolutely
I have an end of the line Sony Wega, and the picture is incredible. It beats even high end plasmas if watching SD telly.

I won't upgrade to a HD telly until I can afford to subscribe to HD channels. Otherwise its a bit of a waste. My twat of a brother in law has had a 'big telleh' for about 5 years, and has watched approximately, zero minutes, of HD content on it.
(, Thu 11 Aug 2011, 17:51, Reply)
but did it warm your falt?
this is the question.
