As best I recall I was 20
but you would have been 16 at the time.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:11, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
True enough
At 16 I was still pretty much unawareof what a woman was, barring my relatives who obviously don't count for the purposes of this conversation.

All Norfolk jokes will be ignored.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:14, Reply)
Really?
I was well aware from the age of about 12, but was painfully shy and had no social life (now there's a surprise) so took me until my 20s to have the opportunity.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:17, Reply)
All boys school
Coupled with socially awkward and mostly shunned by the kids I'd gone to Primary School with, as they were all at the local comp together

Ditto.
do you think we're maybe giving away too much ammunition here?
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:21, Reply)
I suspect there are too many glass houses
to throw those stones
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:23, Reply)
I suspect you are right
I was 19, because I was a fat, geeky, metaller, stoner
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:24, Reply)
I was 20
fat, geeky, weirdo. Was lucky to get some then, I think
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:25, Reply)
Wow, this is like group thearpy
shall we do who had least friends next?
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:27, Reply)
yay.
lets just assume we all owned cagoules and NHS glasses. I think that's the most accurate thing to do
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:29, Reply)
Both, but not at the same time

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:31, Reply)
hehe
when I hit 14 or so I was allowed non nhs glasses. Foolishly I had massive plastic ones. Terrible. One day I'll dig out the picture of me with short hair in those things. *shudder*
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:32, Reply)
I can see it in my mind.
Luckily my eyes didn't get bad til I was 15-16 and I managed to delay getting glasses until I was out of secondary school.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:35, Reply)
I was 4
and those bastards are HEAVY. I reckon I could have lifted weights with my nose and ears in those days
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:36, Reply)
Ditto
On all counts
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:37, Reply)
I've always had plenty of friends fortunately
I blame part of the whole late loss of virginity thing on the fact that I never met any girls who weren't interested in remotely the same things as me.

Meeting girls who were into rock music at university was an amazing experience for me.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:29, Reply)
So very this (last point)
Actually, meeting girls was pretty amazing full stop, I'd only just met my ex a few weeks previously and was still fairly wide-eyed about the concept. Meeting girls who liked the same screamy bands I did was fucking brilliant.

Me
End of story
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:30, Reply)
I'll let you win.

Point
And I at least give not one fuck, it's all history.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:24, Reply)
Personally
I couldn't find either of you any hotter if you told me you were totally into D&D as teenagers.

Mind you, you both beat me in age and time, so I'm hardly one to talk...
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:23, Reply)
Hmmm, well
D&DWarhammer Fantasy Roleplay teenagers early twenties

Well, for me anyway, Darth was probably much more macho.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:26, Reply)
I was into football until I got to Uni, does that count?
Then I took up LARPing...
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:30, Reply)
and that's when he really started hitting it off with the ladies

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:31, Reply)
Given the male/female ratio in LARP
I'm amazed female LARPers are ever single.

Sorry, this probably does not help.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:34, Reply)
:(
It's the gathering a week Friday, biggest of all the larp events. Time to try and pull, perhaps
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:35, Reply)
Dust off you best chain-mail bikini and most seductive axe.
You can try and pull my Cousin if you like, he's single and will likely be there. Actually I should find a way to introduce you, I think you might get along.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:37, Reply)
What faction?
Is it going to turn out I know him?
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:38, Reply)
Probably not.
I don't know factions, he was being a wherewolf last I talked to him, or maybe a vampire or both. Have Texted him to see if he's going.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:41, Reply)
you can't be a werewolf
and a vampire. That's crazy
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:43, Reply)
he has been known to be playing mor than one system at any given time.
Having looked up The Gathering, I suspect he may not be playing you system but the name sounds familiar so I may have heard him mention it.I'll Gaz you his real name and see if I can dig out details from his Facebook.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:45, Reply)
Ironically, yes
All the female friends I made who were into metal decided to give LARP a go. As I was less grossly overweight than most LARPers, I was reasonably popular.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:36, Reply)
*forms cunning plan*

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 16:37, Reply)
