I've never spent a huge amount on a meal
But rounds of drinks have set me back quite a large amount before, I remember a £45 one a while ago, that wasn't enjoyable.

Alt: I really enjoy them, but it's all down to whether or not you get the arseholes doing jump kicks in the middle. 90% of people in the pits know the etiquette, but the 10% seem determined to ruin it for everyone else.

What is the etiquette?
Out of interest, like.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:41, Reply)
Someone falls down, you pick them up
Don't pull/push/drag in anyone who doesn't want to be in there.
What happens in there, stays in there (i.e. Don't attack someone after the gig.)
Don't wear spiked jewellry.
Don't aim to hurt someone in particular.

They're the main ones, but I'm sure there are likely others.

EDIT: Also, fairly obvious ones, as pointed out by Kroney - Not punching people in the face, not kicking people

There is an etiquette??

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:42, Reply)
Not punching people in the face, not kicking people, that sort of thing.
And, in one noteable instance, not having ball bearings woven into your hair whilst helicoptering wildly.

Edit: Please assume I've placed the above response under Stunned's post, and the following under yours:

Yes.

Ta.

Oof, fucking hell.
The best helicoptering/windmilling I've seen is done by this guy

That one was in a club in Southampton. I went to visit a friend when I saw that one.
He tells me that the next week she'd added razor blades to it.

Mosh pits can be fun and part of that fun is how rough they are, but I don't understand the desire of some people to actually maim others.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:50, Reply)
I've never understood that either
Some of my more recent gigs have just been dangerous, I got elbowed hard in the eye at one a few months back, that was a bit of a shock, as I'd been in there for rough 0.5 seconds when it hit. The guy just moved off, didn't say a word.

On the other hand, seeing Carcass a few years back, one guy was running, stumbled, and smacked me (hard), in the face. I think only adrenaline kept me standing, any other time he'd have knocked me on my arse. He immediately apologised, asked if I was OK, and offered to buy me a pint.

The stuff people think they can get away with is outrageous
I know a girl that made the mistake of wearing a skirt in one once.

She didn't make that mistake again and didn't go into another mosh pit, either.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:54, Reply)
What happened?
*hopes it's pervy*
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:56, Reply)
It is. She got groped.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:57, Reply)
And I'd do it again, given half a chance.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:59, Reply)
It was my girlfriend.
I wasn't actually at that concert, much to my regret.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:00, Reply)
Oof, even worse.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:02, Reply)
Innit
I'd have told her not to wear a fucking skirt, for starters :P
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:03, Reply)
Did she have any knickers on?

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:08, Reply)
Yeah she did. I don't think the guy respected the rules of second base, though.
IF you know what I mean.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:10, Reply)
Too right!
I'd have fucked her.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:11, Reply)
It's not a proper rape
unless you get your back wheels in.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:14, Reply)
Let's not turn this rape into a murder.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:19, Reply)
Nice one.
Mosh pit+fingerpie=top night.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:00, Reply)
I hear you're getting fingered at Monty's bash

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:05, Reply)
Not a bash if it's not digitally invasive.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:06, Reply)
No unless someone else steps in to help.
I only have 2 hands and they are booked.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:06, Reply)
You've got feets. don't you?

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:07, Reply)
I won't pretend I'm not disappointed.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:08, Reply)
It's a lack of commitment, is what it is.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:09, Reply)
Lazy.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 13:11, Reply)
It's fucking ridiculous
The last pit I was in was to this, at Sonisphere. Absolutely spectacular.
(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:58, Reply)
Seems reasonable.

(, Thu 8 Sep 2011, 12:46, Reply)
