this is true, has been for a while
i suspect a part of it is a complete misreading of feminism by a shit load of people. Especially since it's so hard to find clumsy women on TV, now - they have to be pretty, sassy and cool to be a character. I feel sidelined.

On a related note.
I was listening to a singer the other night she had a jolly little ditty about her boyfriend being in a coma and her preferring it that way. I was finding it mildly amusing until I swapped the genders in my head and realised that if is was a bloke singing about how he liked it that his girl friend was just a lump of meat and he didn't have to put up with her whining it'd be horrific.
