she's made some money. she's not in any other way "done well for herself" as she's a fucking loathsome human being. So, if your only metric for success is money, yeah, she's done OK. Even then, she's hardly lighting fires with twenties.

Edit - I suppose she's acquired a measure of fame, too, but again, I see absolutely no reason to give any tiny bit of credit to someone simply because she has some money and people know who she is. I know what you're trying to say, but there really is no reason to show even the tiniest bit of grudging admiration for the awful bitch.

There are two options with your last point.
The first is that she means what she writes, which makes her such a vile human being as to be utterly beyond any form of admiration.

The second is that she actually thinks something else, but writes those columsn pandering to the lowest level of society just to make some money. This also makes her a vile human being, beyond any form of admiration.

The same applies to Jeremy Clarkson.
