because I can, I have very little time to spend here and I want.
So, last Saturday we started moving to Worthing. We moved most of the furniture and quite a few boxes that have been closed for almost a year. It was hard work, and it was a very hot day, so we ended up very sweaty and smelly.
Then we realized we hadn't brought any towels, change of clothes, soap... nothing, and we wanted to sleep in Worthing, but we didn't even have sheets.
So, almost deciding to go back to Redhill for the night, we opened a couple more boxes before calling it a day. And there they were: a couple of beach towels! And soap! Even shampoo! And look, what's that? Clean sheets! OMG! Clean underwear! And summer clothes!
You know that feeling of inmense happiness? It's like finding a well hidden treassure. It's like openning Christmas presents. I know it's silly, but each little discovery made me smile and dance around the house, specially when I realized we had enough for a shower and we didn't have to drive back to Redhill.
So, which little, silly thing has made you terribly happy lately?
Alt.: With all the moving I didn't get the chance to go to Monty's bash. Was it good? Did I miss a lot? (Monty, we still got your black pudding waiting for you!)

He fell into my room apologised stared at me very seriously chatted some bollocks at me, then fell backwards into the hall. As he was stumbling backwards he managed to both shut my door and turn off the hall light, it was like a slapstick scene.

Drunks are always funny, aren't they?
Well, no when they fight or get agressive; or when they puke on you; or when they pass out in your bed. But in general, they are fun, eh?

Had to stop when work became tired of me being a bit zombiefied every Tuesday.

But if I don't fancy that, I can go to the local where we usually get free pool, and everytime you buy a pint, you're presented with a deck of cards. Split the deck, and if you get certain cards, you either get money off, or a free pint. Tis good fun.

I got quite a nice bargain at the weekend, my sister had her 20 week scan (all is well), and I had a nice breakfast this morning, they've all helped a bit!
Alt: Sadly, I couldn't go either!

You seem always be getting another niece or nephew.
What did you buy?

But one of my brothers is also married, so there's an extra sister.
I currently have 4 nephews, but we're not sure about the sex of this one yet.
I picked up a 14oz T-Bone steak for £5, and a rabbit for £4 (which was already prepared)

I need to know this. Please tell me it was somewhere in London.

Altogether, I got a pack of diced chuck steak, a pack of pork steaks, a rabbit, a T-Bone steak, 3 packs of bacon (8 rashers each), and some sausages (about 14 in the box) for £25.

The steak is for when I next want to treat myself.
I'm going to make a chilli soon with the chuck steak, so that could be good.

The butchers in Worthing is pretty good too, not as cheap as Manchester, but so much cheaper and better than Tesco or Sainsbury's. And the same goes for fruit and fish. Little shops for the winner.

but the screen was crap and could barely tell what we were watching. I'm glad the sonographer knew; she reckons the baby is fine. I reckon the baby is a big black doodle.

Our 12 week scan was a toughie - they couldn't find the nasal bone which is a marker for down's syndrome. We paid for a private scan at 16 weeks as we were worried and didn't want to wait until 20 weeks. The nasal bone was there. Massive relief.

She was 4lb 10oz when born and only just 5' tall.

I'm thinking about paying for another one. On my 20 weeks the placenta was too low for natural birth. On the 32 weeks it had moved just enough, although it took more than 20 min of poking and moving the baby to make sure it was ok. I think I'll feel better having another at 36 weeks to confirm.

It's a bit early for 3D; better at 26-30 weeks. And you have to go private for it, but it's worth it.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:47, Reply)
Almost there, almost. Hopefully it'll come a bit early, though. In 5 weeks the baby will be ready, and I'm ready now, so why waiting more?

Have you signed up for the weekly emails from Babycentre? You enter your due date and they send you updates every week about the stage of your baby's development. I found them really useful.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:55, Reply)
They reckon that by next week the baby should be able to live without any neonatal care, and I'm a bit fed up with the kicking in my bowels, the anemia and the lack of oxygen. We should agree on a day and call it 37 weeks; better for everybody.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:57, Reply)
On the last test I had 9.0 hemoglobin; and 8.0 starts to be dangerous for the baby (at the moment it's only dangerous for me...) so the doctors keep checking it every 2 weeks, and I have to visit the obstetrician every month.
