Now is a good chance to start making your own flavoured vodka Amberl!
It takes a few weeks, but if you're not drinking at the moment, then now is a great time to start!

This is an excellent idea
I made my own lemon vodka, and mint vodka. Want to make some ginger vodka in time for Christmas

I made both Kkittle flavour and a surprisingly nice vodka made with Refreshers.

skittle brau
vodka + skittles, leave for a week or so. Works nicely with butterscotch sweets, too

Don't use the green skittles though.

Or you can separate them!

Have you linked to that before?
I'm sure I read that the other day.

I'm also interested to hear about other types of flavouring. There used to be a nice bar in Glasgow that did lots of fun flavours. Jelly Tots sounded like a good one.

If it'll disolve, you can flavour vodka with it.

And is it true that the purest vodkas are teh best ones to use?

(, Wed 5 Oct 2011, 18:56, Reply)
Possibly.
But on the basis that I'm going to decant it into plastic bottles, throw a load of sweets in it, shake it a lot, then filter it. I tend to go for a a 'middle-priced' supermarket vodka when I've made it, something like 'Red' or that Icelandic one.

SKYY?
I thought it might have to be Grey Goose or something.
(, Wed 5 Oct 2011, 19:04, Reply)
No, something that costs about £10 or £12 a litre.
