also
what should I have for tea. I have: pasta, half a pepper, tomatoes in a can, an egg, some ham, some rice and not much else

Any herbs?

(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:16, Reply)
yes
green ones. I think I have basil and thyme, although no oregano.
(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:17, Reply)
OK.
Fry the pepper. Heat the tomatoes and add the basil (I'm assuming they're chopped tomatoes, if not, squish them up). Cut the ham into strips, chuck that in as well and do some pasta. Bob's your uncle. Put a sprinkle of sugar into the tomatoes while they're cooking as it takes the acidity away. Not too much, though.

OK - that's kinda similar what I tend to eat anyway
although I didn't know about the sugar thing.

I'm reaching my limit of being able to eat pasta, I think this is the source/sauce of my indecision today

You could do egg fried rice.
Not sure if one egg would be enough though.

I may have to leave the house and find something :(

(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:26, Reply)
One egg is enough.
She could add the ham and peppers to the fried rice too. Mind you it's always better to use rice that's been cooled down for frying.
(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:38, Reply)
I thought that too.

Excellent.
Ours were £32 I think, but we do have further to travel.
(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 20:00, Reply)
What do I owe you for the ticket back?

(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 20:04, Reply)

What's it about?

(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:14, Reply)
that's the thing
we're setting it for students, needs to have a broad range of possibly responses
(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:15, Reply)
So you don't even have a theme?

(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:16, Reply)
that's the point
we give them a title, they interpret it and make photos. The theme we give them is pretty ambiguous then they work out their theme from it
(, Wed 12 Oct 2011, 19:18, Reply)
The world of mongs?
They could then take candid shots at the fairground, the local bus station, Asda, Game... there are no limitations.

more than enough source material round here

I used to like those BBC website photo competitions
where they give you a word like 'stripe' or 'weathered'.

Open a book at a random page, pick the first word on the tenth line, and give them that.
