Sausage casserole, very filling
Alt: A good beef dinner, and as little drama as possible. I'd also like to have a good new year for once.

I'd also quite like a pestle & mortar

I knew that was coming, hence why I removed it before you posted.
And no, I meant a food steamer.

I've got a great pestle & mortar.
I used it twice.

Still, it looks good on the window ledge.

It's the sort of thing I can see myself getting some half decent usage out of
And I don't hugely fancy buying one myself. I only tend to ask for presents now I don't fancy buying myself, just in case.

Mine was a present
I only use it now and again but it is excellent and very calming to smash the fuck out of things in it

Last thing I made using mine was thai green curry sauce
Smashing up chillies, galangal, lemongrass, garlic, etc.
(, Tue 15 Nov 2011, 13:31, Reply)
Oof, that'd be good.

(, Tue 15 Nov 2011, 13:35, Reply)
I split it into two and had one half with king prawns and lime rice
I'm keeping the other one until Mrs Cow is out

Blimey
what sort of thing do you get up to with your Thai Curry Sauce that needs the missus to be out of the house?

She hates the smell!

I say!

Haha I want one, too. I don't even know why,
I'd never use it, I just think they're aesthetically pleasing, I guess.

I think I only use mine for making pesto
and it's a lot less laborious to simply give it a whizz with the hand blender.

EDIT - and thai green curry sauce, having just read sportcow up there.
(, Tue 15 Nov 2011, 13:33, Reply)
I've not made pesto as yet
I may sort this at the weekend
(, Tue 15 Nov 2011, 13:35, Reply)
Pesto is very easy and much, much nicer than bought

(, Tue 15 Nov 2011, 13:41, Reply)
this, many times
so much so that I simply will not eat supermarket pesto anymore.
