Coincidentally I saw Herring on Have I Got News For You last night,
I found him to be a pleasant enough fellow but neither particularly witty nor funny. If I am honest I think I'd be quite good on those comedy/panel programmes.

From what I have seen of the show
the chances are that the other three contestants will be idiots and you would struggle to not point out their failings. As it is more of a popularity contest than a cooking challenge this will reduce your likelihood of success.
