I'm at home eating a roast chicken sandwich and continuing to cook my epic stew.
This weekend I'll watch the grand prix and maybe see some friends. Trying to save myself and some money for next weekend.

Kilo of proper cheap stewing beef from the butchers, a quartet of allium, carrots, potatoes, pearl barley, bay, thyme, home-made chicken stock, London Pride and salt and pepper.

It's a labour of love, I've been planning it for a couple of weeks, fuckoff big pot of it.
It's been on for four hours in total, I've only had the tiniest of tastes so far to check the seasoning.

I'm never sure whether to taste it once it's in my slow cooker
As whilst I know it tastes good at that point, it will get better.

Ha, I've just weighed it, 4.5kg.
That'll cover a few meals.

You know you can't eat the slow cooker though, right?

(, Fri 25 Nov 2011, 9:17, Reply)
Aye, one or two...
I've found it's far cheaper to buy sandwich bags and freeze stuff in them than buying containers, as you don't get too many uses out of the them.
