Same dates as Download
MAKE YOUR CHOICE

I'd go to see The Baseballs

I'd choose this over Download on lineup alone.

THere's a pretty good chance that most bands will play both.
I reckon.

By "reckon" I actually mean "hope"
I really want to see Slayer and Mastodon at Download, having already bought my ticket I'm now very nervous that they will announce a fucking shit lineup behind some good headliners, like they did a couple of years ago.

It wouldn't surprise me, tbh

Yeah! but I'll be at Download.

That is definitely a reason for me to be at Castle Donington!

OMG ME TOO!!!
We can be "Going to Download" buddies!!!!

Good line up
I'm not that keen on listening to the entire black album though, I'd rather have a retrospective (ignoring everything from post Black until Death magnetic)
(, Fri 25 Nov 2011, 10:07, Reply)
Aye, and that's only the first announcement
There's another festival which had an ever better opening lineup, but I don't think I can justify the costs, seen as the lineup has only got worse since - Started beautifully, gone downhill since/

If you got 100 Metallica fans to draw up their ideal setlist you'd get 100 different answers
But no-one would want a single fucking track from St Anger.

I could listen to the whole of the Black Album for the nostalgia, but not at the expense of One, Master of Puppets, Sanitarium or Harvester of Sorrow.

*holds hand up*
I'd never want to see it live, but I do still quite like the title track of that album.
(, Fri 25 Nov 2011, 10:13, Reply)
Well, you shouldn't
I harbour a lot of resentment towards that album because it represented the point at which I had to accept that Metallica were actually fucking shit, having spent the previous 6 years in denial
(, Fri 25 Nov 2011, 10:15, Reply)
I bought the album, listened to it once, then gave it away.

(, Fri 25 Nov 2011, 10:16, Reply)
I won't even steal it off teh internet
that's how bad it is.

Probably my favourite Metallica track
First time I ever heard it, it was on the Cunning Stunts DVD. Seeing it at Sonisphere this year was fucking phenomenal.

EDIT: You fuck! I've got this stuck in my head now.
