Depends if I get it.Or them. One is working with a mate and former colleague, but it's 2 days a week. The salary scale is not bad, but obviously the pro rata bit brings the actual salary down a chunk. The other would be full time, and about £3k less than I was on, but it's a half hour walk up the street so no petrol costs.

It's a possibility, yes.Nothing definite at the moment though. But she'd be paid a hell of a lot better than she is now, for doing the same type of work.
I think I'd enjoy the job with my mate more, tbh, although it's part time he reckons the likelihood is it'll become full time because he thinks his secondment will become permanent. The other job is as an employment adviser for a private company hired to hound dolescum on the government's behalf, which, while I have the experience is less attractive. Although the significantly better wage than I was on when I worked for the jobcentre is quite an incentive.

Indeed.The rest of the stuff's done but I need to confirm what they want on the covering letter as it's a bit vague.
Also those lovely Jobcentre people have told me I have to do voluntary work to get my JSA. If I have to do it it's not then voluntary, surely?

Well, yeah.I might ask my old boss if I can do some project appraisal work for him as I gather the team is a bit snowed under at the moment. At least I can do that at home, and I enjoy it.
