And I didn't have a drink last night, so I feel oddly fresh for a Sunday :)
Sadly Bill Tapia, Ukulele legend has died :(

I've doubled-up on some of my painkillers, the ibupurophain cream helps a lot with the pain.
I'm watching some bloke on the telly called David Bocco who is the worst TV chef I've ever seen, I want to hit him.

As for the tv chef, yeah I know who you mean. Wanker.
I've got a foam brick somewhere, really good to throwing at the tv!

... I think it works the same as a TENS machine, that it stimulates the nerves surrounding it thus drowning out the real pain.... the same theory as rubbing yourself hard when you bump something (eg, shins against a coffee table or head against a low cieling).
Yeah', he's a total dick, I also hate Guy Farri and Robert Irvine.
I've never had butter chicken before, I just wiki'd it though and it sounds really up my street. Tomo I'm going for a curry with a few of the london lot of b3tans, looking forward to it.

What would pay more for a pornstar out of the two?
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 13:45, Reply)
I guess a thousand tiny cocks could be equal in total size to one massive cock, but I'd lay money that the tiny cocks would produce loads more spuff than just one cock, no matter how big.
Is it total cock dimension or volume of spuff you're after?

But also unlike Krakow it was ridiculously eventful. I don't really know where to start, although I will advise bar owners that if you call a load of Englishmen in your pub "English pricks", your car may end up in an Amsterdam canal. And that's the tip of the iceberg.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 14:03, Reply)
It was just one thing after the other all trip, and FC Twente has got to be the most violent place I've ever visited. Our coach got attacked about half a dozen times, then in the city centre we got set upon another half a dozen times (we absolutely battered them though) and I had fireworks thrown at me. Again that's just the tip of the iceberg. We thought we'd be left alone but the amount of times we were forced to defend ourselves was ridiculous.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 14:13, Reply)
We had four fifty seater coaches from Amsterdam to Enschede going on the morning of the game and coming back straight after, we were only there for the day and spent all the other time in Amsterdam. I think that's what everyone did.

A load of Dutch reporters came upto us in the main square and asked about the flag and the reasons behind it, we told them our mothers are of Nigerian heritage and they fell in love with the idea - and put the Nigerian Whites in the local paper.

Gillingham away would have been my first choice (massive bit of history between us), at least with Charlton at home it'll be a piece of piss and we'll waltz through to the fourth round.

The place to myself (wife & baby in Edinburgh).
Back ache.
A pheasant to roast (can't be bothered).
A long list of things to do (can't be bothered with this either).
A smokers cough which is making me retch.
EDIT:
Solution: back to the pub

Whinging about my cold as well.
A bit of fun towards the end of the week though. I had planned taking a few days leave, but work is mental so I'm just taking Friday off. I'm going to head up to that London for a bit, do some Christmas shopping and meet up with a few folk from here for booze and Indian food.

From "Against The Day" - which is both his best and worst book as far as I'm concerned.
"Inherent Vice" - his latest - is gorgeous although you really need to read "Vineland" first to know who the characters are.

The wised up, sarcastic, pomo stuff the most. My favourite authors are Williams Burroughs, Bret Easton Ellis, JG Ballard and John Berger.
And yes, I know Ballard and Berger were/ are from the UK, I was just sayin' is all.

Along the same lines - I'd suggest "Hall of Mirrors" to start with. DON'T start with "Bear And His Daughter."

although I own one, whichever one won the booker a couple of years back. It was cheap in The Works.
Now 'Ways of Seeing' I am quite quite familiar with. It is the same person, right?

I am assuming the one you got was either G. or To The Wedding?
The best Berger fiction I have read is the Into Their Labours trilogy.

since there wasn't much in the way of words on the cover.
Ways of Seeing remains one of the most useful, insightful yet accessible accounts of visual culture. They reran the documentaries from the 70s on bbc 4 a little while ago, makes me long for the days when documentaries weren't all about 'taking an amazing journey' and were instead a shit load of interesting information and in depth analysis

Because there aren't many people who can stomach it.
Have you read "The Room"?
That intensifies the whole thing. Evil seeps out of that book.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 18:57, Reply)
I saw the film of Requiem For a Dream and thought it was terrible.
I don't see how people wouldn't be able to stomach it. American Psycho maybe, but Last Exit is quite tame.
I am currently reading Tropic of Cancer. I am taking it slowly so I can savour the whole thing, it's that kind of book.
I also love Don DeLillo, he writes sentences that you could hang on your wall, they are that beautiful.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 19:02, Reply)
Have a full shelf of DeLillo. Libra turns your head ten different ways.
