But I can't sort out my xmas shopping and other assorted preparation until it feels like xmas.
Maybe I should crack out the xmas CDs. That always used to help.

Christmas playlist copied to ipod on Tuesday
I have been listening to it on the train in to work and grinning like a total mong.

Your face = shit

I know
but that doesn't stop all Christmas songs from being shit

YOU'RE WRONG

(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:36, Reply)
I agree with you
I dislike hearing them in shops or on the radio, but when I can listen to them when I want to listen to them, they're great. Cheesy nonsense, of course, but great all the same.

My favourite (or one of my very favourites, anyway)
is Another Rock n Roll Xmas. For some reason it's never played any more. Can't imagine why....

I'm so ashamed by this I can't even believe I'm going to tell you
but mine's that Mariah Carey one...
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:41, Reply)
I do like that one too.
It's about the only time I can ever tolerate the mental bint.

She is a bit of a windowlicker
but the song always makes me grin.

Bollocks.
The Motown Christmas album is great.

I am struggling to think of any other counter arguments mind you.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:36, Reply)
Do you mean the Phil Specter one?
It's totally boss.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:38, Reply)
Possibly.
I don't know the details, it lives on an old cassette at my parents house and gets dragged out every year for one airing over Christmas dinner.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:44, Reply)
'Run Run Rudolph' by Chuck Berry is good too.

(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:49, Reply)
Which is why I don't do any shopping until Christmas week.

(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:33, Reply)
Yeah, but then everything's in a rush.
And some of the stuff I'm preparing takes a bit longer than that.

And some presents need to be posted.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:35, Reply)
Then you're going to have to MTFU and get on with it.

(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:36, Reply)
Pfft
typical man.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:36, Reply)
Well I'm going to be on my own for this one.
So I only have a few to buy.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:40, Reply)
My immediate family is quite large
so it's not just my parents, grandparents etc but four siblings, their partners, their kids, friends, etc etc etc. I swear my Christmas list gets longer every year yet I get fewer and fewer presents. Getting old is lame.

I just downloaded
Tim Wheeler and Emmy The Great's Christmas album.

I haven't listened to it yet. I wasn't sure whether to get it at all because I think Tim Wheeler is a bit of a tit, but Emmy The Great is...well...Great.
(, Thu 8 Dec 2011, 10:47, Reply)
Is she?
Or is your opinion clouded slightly by her appearance?
Tim Wheeler is a shortarse tit though.
