I'm watching the end of K-Pax the film on Film4. I loved the books so much.
Friday night is tablet night, I counted them when I took them, 21 this evening. I'll be out like a lamp in a ocuple of hours.

Yup, if you count all day then it's around 30-35 depending on how I've decided to split some of them up (eg, I got 10s and 20s of the same drug).
It used to be in the 50s at one point.

No wonder you have bad guts!
Probably streched from all the tablets

You have my sympathies at Woe Guts

I honestly don't think up anything of it, they're as natural to me as breathing or drinking.

Do they limit the prescription because it's such a powerful drug?

Yah', I only get 5 days worth at a time, same with the (very low does) of methadone.
And every 2-3 weeks I gotta have a bloodtest for some stuff called Mexotrixate.

Makes sense I suppose.
You could make a fortune selling it on. I imagine.

Yeah', probably, but I need them myself and that's not gonna change any time soon.
And you can't do the "I lost them" thing to many times.

That's a book I always think I should have raed
I've not seen the film either. Why should I read it?

It's fantastic, I've read the origional trillogy about 5 times, plus the other books quite a bit too.... the film is just the first book.
It's about a doctor in a mental home who comes across as guy who claims to be from another planet. He can do things that a lot of people can't, like see Inffared light and know a lot of things about stars'n'planets. There is a lot of is-he-isn't-he in there. But the story of the guy who the alien took over from is actually a split-personailty and has had some horrifc things happen to him.

It's a fantastic phsycology film, can be a bit weepy in time, and has a lot of magical moments.... there is a simularity there to Patch Adams, if you liked that, you'll deffo like this. But even if you hated Patch Adams, and I know a lot of people who do, you can still really really enjoy this.

I have not seen patch adams
perhaps i shall make the effort to read or watch the film (not patch adams) sometime

I honestly love it, it's a shame it's not on kindle or i'd get myself another copy.
He comes up with some amazing things, such as a palistinan and israeli girl writes to him and both ask how to stop their people from fighting. He replied the exact same thing to both of them... "No matter what happens to you, anything at all, do not retaliate for 1 month. If you still want to fight after that, then go ahead".
