A lot of people enjoyed her music
enough at least to make one of her Albums the number 1 seller in the UK for the decade.

Personally I don't much care for her music but I'm not going to describe someone as 'fucking shit' and 'a waste of oxygen' because of that.

From the little I know about her life, she came from a normal family and achieved success in an area that she loved despite not being very pretty, which I think is quite an achievement for a female solo artist in this country.

I understand that she drank a lot and took a lot of drugs. So what. She was a fucking rock star, its what they do. I'll wager you've posted some vapid shit on these messageboards about how wasted you got this one time on drugs.

Her music was fourth rate at best.
Her record company were clever in their marketing to portray her as a "tortured genius" as she had multiple dependency issues. A load of people with no musical taste believed the hype and ignored the fact she sounded like Vic Reeves doing his club singer impression.

You'll never see a post from me about getting wasted on drugs - not my thing. You'll certainly see vapid shit though.
