The trouble with banning the BNP is that the right will move towards BFP which are _far_ worst, as there will be no more anti-imigrant voice in UK Politics, with the slight exception of UKIP, who aren't far right enough for most people.
And on a similar way, if you ban the EDL then people will move to "The Casuals" and NWI*, which as disgusting as the EDL are, they aren't as bad as NWI or The Casuals.

* NWI = North West Infidels, which for some reason seems to encompus the whole of the UK.
