	Depends on the state of the plaster.If it's too chipped or cracked, you might want to skim it first. In which case, you'd have to leave it for a couple of weeks afterwards to thoroughly dry.

	Get a basic DIY bookUse it until you start feeling confident, then throw it away and work off instinct.
It's very easy to fuck up painting a wall but luckily it's also very easy to correct it.
