I picked up my reel of ethernet cable from my old house yesterday so I can now run a line from the hub to the PS3 in the bedroom, meaning I can then watch all the stuff on my computer on the TV in there. Lazy Sundays for the win. I'll have to get some wake on lan software onto my laptop so that I can use it as a glorified remote control to switch the PC on with. I'd get network storage, but money.
Also downloading stuff, installing stuff, hoovering, unpacking, general tidying up. I've got to fit a shower in there somewhere, too.

First sunday in your new house, yaay. Are you off to church?

contemplating how many more books need taking across. Church is just going to have to wait, but having eternity means it can be patient

When they say "must be fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite", instead of me saying "I use Outlook, Excel and Word like most cunts, and the other things are useless." I can say "I have full European Computer Driving Licence (but don't ask me to use Access because i bet i could use Excel instead)

You got any ideas of something I can use as a base to make a veriaty of things? I might make some of Clendrix's Babotie mix, it's like a sweetish curryish spicyish mince.

THEN, it can be anything you want at a later date.
Add spices, yogurt, chicken and rice - it's curry.
Add paprika, chillis, meat etc - it's a bit like chilli.
Add basil, oregano, red wine, bit of sugar, mince - it's bolognese.
Sometimes I make a big vat of the stuff.

I just moved another BIG pile of things. Just a few more boxes of books and then the rest can wait until next week. I think now is the time to BUY ALL THE THINGS! in B&Q and put polyfilla in nail holes. I'm so very grown up and middle class.
How is the whole gym thing going? Ripped yet?

I'm not trying to get 'ripped' Captain! I'm trying to get myself fit enough to be able to walk back from the pub without needing to stop at the Chinese.

I know I got nothing to be worried about, but FUCKS SAKE.
I used to work at 'SC' for 'A'. The main managers were 'P' & 'C'. 'A' sold the company to 'S' 3 years ago. P & C are starting their own version of the company down the road, lovely, considering 'S' bought the company purely for 'P' and 'C' to manage, 'cus he liked them and they talked him into it. Apparently 'P', 'C' and a few other members of staff have told 'S' that I have a copy of all their accounts, prices, jobs, information... basicly, that I've been backing up everything. I don't know if they believe that or not, but it's not true. They're using this to get leverage on 'S' in regards to moving onto the new company.
'S' just called me to ask if it was true, and to warn me about ownership of data. I told him I'm very aware of the ownership of data, and that my personal position is that there is _nothing_ that office can offer me to risk my current position, that I got conned out of £400 out of a website (where I said that was the only info I've got), that I worked for bellow minimum wage, didn't get a penny for holiday or sick. I told him that there isn't a figure they could offer me that would make me risk my reputation... and that the only reason they've implimented me is 'cus I can install windows and format a hard drive.
I'm not worried, as I haven't done anything wrong, therefore they can't be any proof that I have. But I sware though, if they make trouble for me, I'll sing from the rooftops _everything_ I know.

... P & C have decided to buy their own company down the road in competition, and I guess are asking for some kind of leaving-money. They're using me to get this leaving money, saying that I have a copy of all their data. They're using me 'cus I'm good at computery things.
I want fuck all to do with all of them, this has the potential of ruining my reputation. I told the owner guy (the one P & C got him to buy the company for them) that I'm well aware of data ownership and want fuck all to do with it.
(, Sun 22 Jan 2012, 14:28, Reply)
Just ignore them. Proof of data ownership would be difficult for them to prove.
(, Sun 22 Jan 2012, 14:35, Reply)
What would I want with it? I haven't even been in the building for 2-3 years, I'm not going to go around backing up the data of some minicab office for free exactly, and I haven't recieved a penny. If they want to see me in court, then I'll simply tell the truth about everything, which believe me, nobody there wants.
