One of the best things about fatherhood is having the excuse to act like an utter child on a regular basis.
Recently I have:

1) pretended to be a pirate in a public park, having swordfights with sticks and bellowing piratical sayings
2) made a den out of two chairs and blankets
3) hunted for treasure
4) performed a variety of impressions including every Spongebob character bar Sandy, a giant, the aforementioned pirates and Bagpuss. For fucking HOURS.

I bloody love it.

I seem to have developed a sort of pied-piper-esque
ability to acquire random children in soft-play areas. I think it's because most parents/adults refuse to go in and just sit around drinking coffee therefore any that do are fair game. But it'd make me a brilliant child abducter if needs be.
