So perhaps if we charge headfirst at each other, the spiders will follow me, and the flies will follow you, and suddenly get distracted by each other, leaving us to sneak off, free of arachnids and dipterans.

That would also be a good idea, and would reduce the risk of concussion.

Ackles doesn't have to do much other than be cool, which he pulls off with aplomb
And he's so ridiculously handsome it wouldn't matter if he was shite. Padalecki has the weightier role and just doesn't have the chops for it. He only seems to have two facial expressions, including his "curling out a hard poo" one for when he's killin' demons.
