In the future I wonder if you could sign up for cheaper health insurance
on the understanding that if you get something terminal you won't spend a fortune on treatment for it. That could lead to all sorts of awkward situations.

Alt: Best: Sonic Youth - Superstar, Futureheads - Hounds of Love, Rammstein - Stripped, Such Great Heights - Iron and Wine, Fiona Apple - I Want You (VH1 live cover), Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower. Worst: Adele - Lovesong.

Maybe we should have a Logan's Run style law. but based on health rather than age.
Basically, if the cost of your treatment is going to be more than the value of your economic contribution over your estimated lifespan, off you go.

Liverpool will be a ghost town.
In fact, the whole of the North will just be unspoilt countryside within two generations.

It's a winning plan

Not so
You can't unspoil Manchester

Ha, I really like Manchester. I'd be happy to move the few economically viable Northerners into Manchester and keep it as the only city North of the M25. I mean, you've gotta have somewhere for a Waitrose.

As long as none of them were Mancs
One of the main problem with Manchester is that it's full of people from fucking Manchester.

In fairness, at least none of them support Manchester United.

Good point
but in a few years time it won't make much difference

dunno man, it's hard to quantify the economic contribution of someone
who say doesn't have a job but raises a family. This leads to no one having kids, which leads to a very depressing movie with Clive Owen in it.

Good call on the Carpenters cover - the flipside was alright too.
