I heard from Bob
That Darth had been told by H, that Harding was still well fit 'cos she lives on Red Bull, prunes and heavily watered down pints of bitter that have gone past their best before date.

What fancy dress? What theme?
Oh God panicpanicpanic
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:40, Reply)
The only party you'd be invited to
is a 'Get Kids To Join My Army' party

fascist. I reckon a good fb campaign'll sort you out
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:42, Reply)
It's their St Georges' celebration
Day, so think along those lines.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:43, Reply)
I'll dress all welsh, then

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:44, Reply)
Turkish
You could probably get away with.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:46, Reply)
i know nothing about st george beyond the whole dragon thing

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:47, Reply)
He was from Turkey, innit.

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:51, Reply)
and...?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:52, Reply)
A couple of other countries have him as their patron saint too.
He gets about a bit.

I shall not be wearing 'lolengland' colours, on account of how I'm not English.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:54, Reply)
I am
(except when welsh people give me cake) but I don't really know how to celebrate that fact in fancy dress. Will i have to wear a shell suit with a top hat?
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:56, Reply)
I shan't either
On account of how dressing up in cheap national-themed fancy dress is ghastly.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:58, Reply)
So is drinking cider.

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:59, Reply)
Parochial is ok, I think.
I may wear a dinner jacket, seeing as how it'll be past 6.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:02, Reply)
Is there not some twist on it
that would make it good?
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:02, Reply)
No.
Unless that twist is "not wearing red and white, nor painting crosses on you, nor wearing a flag as a cape, nor any sort of humourlessly themed afro wig"

I will let you get away with a bowler hat and umbrella.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:03, Reply)
Strangely I don't own a bowler hat
purple fedora I have, perhaps I could pimp it up
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:06, Reply)
Mr Steed lols

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:06, Reply)
I may do it myself, thinking about it.
I'd look fucking ridiculous in a bowler
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:07, Reply)
What, a specimen of physical perfection like yourself?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:08, Reply)
I have the head of an ettin
on the body of a man
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:10, Reply)
I'd have to get a pocket watch and a waistcoat to put it in.
Oh dear, I am going to get over the top.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:10, Reply)
then perhaps I shall turn up in my steampunk kit
although I don't think an evening on cider goes well with a corset
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:12, Reply)
You have a corset
and you tell me you don't have anything sexy to wear?
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:20, Reply)
i can't really wear it to go buy a guitar!

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:20, Reply)
Not a steampunk corset, maybe.
But if you get yourself some corset-y undies, that will give you the same inner sex-goddess vibe.

It's not what you show, it's how you feel.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:22, Reply)
What is this in aid of?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:23, Reply)
jeffstock
is at a place what is st george's day themed
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:33, Reply)
He was the patron saint of Doncaster too, so you might be able to get away with a Donny Rovers shirt.

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 19:59, Reply)
Do they play in red and white?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:03, Reply)
As it happens, they do!

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:06, Reply)
That's fine, then.
You have your costume sorted.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:09, Reply)
I think Cavy
Should come dressed as a dragon. It'll tick both boxes.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:13, Reply)
which boxes?
I don't really have a dragon costume. Used to have a kind of dragony mask, but all the kit like that I left with the ex
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:14, Reply)
You'll tick the
I live in Wales and I am going to get slayed by cider boxes.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:17, Reply)
Whoa, hang on a minute here.
I'm not going to this Bristol malarkey. B*lla's down that way these days, I don't want to run into her. Again.
(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:24, Reply)
you know it's a big place, right?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2012, 20:28, Reply)
I do, and I also know sod's law has a habit of striking at the worst possible moment.
Also, I'm a little cagey about travelling five hours each way to meet a load of people I don't know.
