I quite like ...Trendkill
I liked the opening scream by the guy from Anal Cunt.

I don't mind it as much now
But I didn't realise listen to much stuff like that at the time, so it didn't sound great at the time.

Don't get me wrong, there are some cracking tracks on 'Trendkill' - War Nerve, Drag The Waters, Suicide Note (1 & 2), Floods, etc

13 Steps to Nowhere for the drumming
But yes, not their best album.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 10:59, Reply)
Aye
Best album is 'Vulgar Display'
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:00, Reply)
I know this is common opinion
But I prefer Far Beyond Driven. It's just much heavier.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:00, Reply)
Fair enough
It does have one of my favourite tracks in '5 Minutes Alone'
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:04, Reply)
Fucking hostile was one of the first real metal songs I heard, I was pretty blown away

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:00, Reply)
It is a cracking song
It ended up on my Randomburn last year
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:01, Reply)
That always reminds me of this

You're just making these band names up, now.

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:02, Reply)
They really are.
I prefer 'Simian Buttplug' - just their early stuff though. Before they sold out with the release of 'Llanelli Moped Hire Shop'.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:04, Reply)
the heavier end of the meatl spectrum is fucking weird

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:04, Reply)
Aye, Cannibal Corpse, Anal Cunt, The Berzerker, Napalm Death, etc

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:06, Reply)
Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer, Melt Banana
The list is pretty much endless
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:08, Reply)
Pig Destroyer are amusingly bad
iwrestledabearonce is the most ridiculous name that comes to mind for me
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:09, Reply)
We Butter the Bread With Butter beats that.
And Pig Destroyer are superb. Thinking of heading back to Leeds for the Damnation festival in November as they're headlining.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:11, Reply)
I wouldn't consider Melt Banana to be metal

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:20, Reply)
Hard one to classify
Noisecore? They're fucking great whatever they are.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:22, Reply)
We can certainly agree on that.

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:22, Reply)
I used to love Napalm Death
And Extreme Noise Terror, and Sore Throat.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:09, Reply)
Napalm Death are excellent live

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:09, Reply)
Yup
Chewing my face off in a Napalm Death moshpit in Prestatyn was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:12, Reply)
I just bought the reissued vinyl of Scum

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:19, Reply)
Great album
The production is very tinny though.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:20, Reply)
I'll confess I don't love it as much as I did when I was 13
But it is good fun.
The Lee Dorrian side is better than the Nic Bullen side though.
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:22, Reply)
I found this a while back

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:23, Reply)
Yes I've seen that
I used to love What's That Noise? (despite the coked-up, rapist presenter)
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:26, Reply)
hahaha.

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:28, Reply)
Did you stop liking them after they were in Red Dwarf?

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:31, Reply)
That was Carcass, wasn't it?

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:44, Reply)
it gets much weirder than that when you get into less 'popular' bands

(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:09, Reply)
My friend is in a band with a name that bad I can't even listen to them
Cancerous Womb
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:10, Reply)
it's a joke really
although I love teh name "Cancer bats" even if I don't like their music
(, Tue 17 Apr 2012, 11:11, Reply)
I always enjoyed Captain Terminal Bastard
They're more towards the easy listening end of the "unpopular weirdly named metal band" sub-genre, however.
