Fat birds falling over and breaking legs is on a par with old blokes getting hits in the nads by a stay football.
Musical highlight from the gig?

Probably when he put his ear plugs in.

You're as bad as the rest.

Fleetwood Mac's misspelt follow up album?
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:05, Reply)
I was just thankful that it weren't bollocks, the whole set was a pretty slick delivery no doubt helped by some wizardry at the mixing desk, and autotune
I kindof hope they just stick out a live album / dvd, do a bit more touring, Glastonbury next year which I'll be back for, and then just leave it. Any new material just aint gonna do them any favours really
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:01, Reply)
That would work.
If they do anything new, I hope it isn't too much of a break from the old stuff.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:03, Reply)

I'll see you there!
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:05, Reply)
I'll be the posh bit so I doubt it !!
I fucking hate crowds as well, I just remembered that on Saturday. I'll just lounge around and watch most of it on the monitors in the hospitality tent. Worked a treat last time.

An ex-Melody Maker journo friend had this assessment:
Trying to find some thoughts on last night's Stone Roses gig. Repeatedly encountering the proud statement: "Ian Brown can't sing but it doesn't matter!". Wondering when this does start to matter for, y'know, a singer.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:05, Reply)
It was a good gig.
Not the best gig I've ever been to (or the most anticipated) but the whole thing was great.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:07, Reply)
One of my mates is a massive fan
And he reckoned it was the best thing ever.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:08, Reply)
Nah, I was more excited about seeing The Specials.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:10, Reply)
I had a freebie to the Cov gig.
Although I don't really care for them that much.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:16, Reply)
I'd love to see them.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:25, Reply)
It was great berk.
If you get the chance, then go.

Have you been to Wimbledon yet, or is it this week?
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:26, Reply)
This Friday
although it's forecast to piss it down...
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:28, Reply)
I'm guessing that you've not got centre court tickets
Well, you can watch the action on the telly.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:30, Reply)
Just a grounds pass
they were free. Centre court tickets are not.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:35, Reply)
Can't TB up his game a bit and qualify next year?
You'll be like a tennis WAG.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:36, Reply)
Pfft

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:40, Reply)
I'll take that as a no then.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:41, Reply)
If he was that good
he'd bin me off in a second for someone prettier, younger and thinner. Have you seen, for instance, Andy Murray's girlfriend? Like he'd be tapping that if he worked in an office.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:47, Reply)
Oi!
what's wrong with working in an office?
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:52, Reply)
It's unlikely to bring you in to much contact with supermodel types?

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:55, Reply)
I dunno.
There is a bird who does the sandwiches in the canteen with most of her own teeth.

Are they not the same?
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:56, Reply)
Anyway, hasn't Brown covered the cost of his divorce now?

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:07, Reply)
well yeah that, it's not like they're one direction reformed. maybe they genuinely did want to do it £££ aside

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:10, Reply)
Various statements made by more than one of them over the preceding few years suggest otherwise.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:15, Reply)
STOP RUINING IT YOU FUCKING RUINER

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:16, Reply)
Soz Rory
I'm sure they all went back to Squire's house after for a nice cup of tea and to discuss future album plans.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:24, Reply)
Watch the press conference I linked below.
It'll answer all of your questions.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:25, Reply)
In a bit
I'm listening to myself at the moment.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:30, Reply)
So why did you reform?

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:31, Reply)
For the fans, man.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:36, Reply)
Air-con is no reason to reform.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:37, Reply)
More than likely.

The 'we've reformed' press conference.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:11, Reply)
Fucking hell.
I think Reni is the only one who seems vaguely normal.
Squire looks decidedly uncomfortable, especially when questioned about the massive backtrack on his previous stance.
(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:48, Reply)
Yeah, you can tell the one who hasn't been 'working' over the last 20 years.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:51, Reply)
Mani has certainly been working hard.

(, Tue 3 Jul 2012, 22:53, Reply)
Should have seen him on Friday.
It's fair to say he has still got it.
