when i was 21, a man with robotic arms got me hideously drunk at a bar in spain.
I spent the night in the cool, tiled surroundings of the bathroom.

what's the drunkest you've ever been, ever?

I can now honestly say that drunken swimming is a very bad idea

I used to go skating on ecstasy

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:34, Reply)

If we live in a world where you can buy buckfast why no ecstasy vending machines?

As an epi I dare not touch anything, no idea what it may do or how may conflict with my meds

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:01, Reply)
oh man.
Ecstasy is by far my favourite drug, moreso than booze. It changed my life. I also would love to see it licensed for therapeutic use- the openness and lack of barriers it gives you is tremendous.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:04, Reply)
i haven't done it for years but i agree.

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:33, Reply)
It changed the way I think and changed my attitude to art, to people and to life.
Not to mention the empathy aspect. Also, raving to DnB or house when rushing is up there with great sex.

The couple of times I tried ecstasy at rock clubs it was horrible. Having said that, I saw Primal Scream once while on pills. That was ace.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:37, Reply)
I used to drink whole bottles of tequila and have blackouts.
One time was WELL lol.

Soz about quenders though.

When I was 14 I drank a pint of brandy, then tried a pint of mixed spirits. Being slightly more slight than most probably would have karked it if I had finished the second pint of spirits.
Doctors, hospital etc followed.

I am now 39 and still struggle with the smell of brandy.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:42, Reply)
Ouch

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:46, Reply)
How old are you? It happens to most people once. The older you are without it happening the less chance you have of it occurring.

MY memory is thus:
Stumble back to the pub as I had slunk out for a quick haircut (barbers next door+ drunk logic) and order another round of Absinthe.
~wavy lines~
Wake up in bed feeling light-headed and tipsy. Stumble downstairs to discover it is now five days later.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:53, Reply)
Never drank Absinthe. Now i am parent i never will

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:57, Reply)
Why does being a parent preclude you from drinking absinthe?

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:02, Reply)
not fair on my family to deal with any consequences of it.

Probably this last New Year.
I got a bit spackered at Clendrix's 40th, then came back up north and had a houseful of b3tans for new year's eve and just topped up my levels. I managed to fall over in the porch just after midnight and had to be helped upstairs. Then on new year's day we all went up to Edinburgh, where I continued to top up my levels all day and fell out of the train as it pulled into the station on the way back.

Then I fell down the stairs at home and broke my arse.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:48, Reply)
A superb effort. 9.8/10.

The train journey up to Edinburgh was one of the most hilarious experiences ever.
We managed to reduce Beekers to a dribbling wreck at one point.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:03, Reply)
Excellent

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:06, Reply)
You had to be there really.
but we were carrying out a conversation, mimicking Donald and Davy Stott and generally being lolwaki. Then at a lull in the conversation someone further up the carriage piped up "this is a lovely stretch of coastline" in a Stott voice, except it was his actual voice.

I nearly wet myself; Beekers spilled forth a puddle of dribble onto the table.

Taken in context it was the funniest thing ever. Apart from when I broke my arse.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:15, Reply)
How did you break your Arse?

(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:39, Reply)
I fell down the stairs on it.
The bruising was quite spectacular.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:53, Reply)
I have absolutely no idea.
I was too fucking pissed at the time to know or remember.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 21:50, Reply)

For the QOTW reply
Walking - or trying to walk home - down a path with a 4' high hedge alongside it.

Every five steps, despite my best efforts, I veered left and fell over the hedge.

Then I was sick. Copiously.

You asked for it. You got a dull reply.
(, Thu 2 Aug 2012, 22:29, Reply)
Oh yeah, there was this incident as well...
