I have never done either
but I like ice skating. I used to do that a lot when I was younger. Between skating and horseriding, my knees are royally fucked. I think if I tried skiing as well, I'd probably be the spaz that breaks something.

The youngest granddaughter is a champion skier. She's completely fearless, does all teh black runs and that.
