Someonewas trying to tell me that television channels needed your permission to use a persons image if caught on film in public
which would explain why they blur all the faces of the crowd at football games

I'm pretty sure they do
but they do it be inferred consent, if you don't tell them you don't want your image used, then they can use your image. And if you don't want it used, they won't let you in as a condition of entry will be the right by them to use your image.

how about live broadcasts from a highstreet?
public place, no entry criteria.

I do like it when there is a story on fat people and they film loads of fat people from the tits down so as not to offened them.
