well considering that every time I've eaten something with wheat in it for the last twelve months, I've been experiencing massive cramps, bloating, nausea and headaches.
And the fact that cutting wheat and gluten entirely out of my diet has completely stopped me from feeling like this when I eat, even though it's only been three weeks, and the fact that my doctor says that I have a gluten and/or a wheat allergy, I'm going to take his word over yours! :)

If it's a wheat allergy
try other grains. I'm not asking you to take my word for it. I'm some prick off the internet. All I'm saying is that gluten and wheat allergies are very different things.

I can have rye, quinoa, oats, and just about anything else.
As soon as wheat enters the equation I feel awful.

Cool
it's probably wheat that's the issue, then. Rye has a fair amount of gluten in it. It's also almost impossible to get oats that aren't contaminated with wheat gluten at low levels.

I know, hence why just cutting gluten out of my diet is easier than trying to pick and choose which foods are okay.
I pretty much have just been looking at the pack and if it says "May contain traces of gluten" I put it back on the shelf.

That can also be psychosomatic btw.

Oh yeah I know.
But given how much I love cake and real bread, I think it would be pretty fucked up if I tricked myself into that!
